About the Role
Role Purpose
To ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, testing discipline, and plant reliability are consistently met without disrupting production flow.
This role exists to prevent defects, failures, and compliance risks at the source, not to inspect problems at the end.
Key Responsibilities (JD)
1. Quality Assurance & Control
Own end-to-end quality processes:
○ Incoming Quality (IQC)
○ In-Process Quality (IPQC)
○ Final Quality (FQC)
Ensure quality checks are process-driven, not person-dependent.
Reduce defects, rework, and customer complaints.
2. Testing & Validation
Oversee product testing and validation:
functional tests
load tests
durability checks
Ensure testing is:
planned
documented
repeatable
Prevent untested or partially tested products from dispatch.
3. Compliance & Certifications
Ensure compliance with:
○ Factory Act
○ ISO / CE / USFDA and other applicable certifications
○ Statutory and regulatory requirements
Coordinate audits, documentation, and corrective actions.
Ensure no certification or compliance risk reaches management late.
4. Maintenance Oversight
Ensure preventive maintenance plans are followed.
Reduce breakdown-related quality issues.
Coordinate with production to ensure machine reliability supports quality.
5. Team Leadership & Discipline
Manage QA, testing, compliance, and maintenance teams.
Enforce discipline in:
○ inspection
○ documentation
○ reporting
Train teams to identify root causes, not just symptoms.
6. Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with:
○ Production → defect prevention
○ Engineering → design-related quality issues
○ Supply Chain → vendor quality
Escalate systemic issues early with data.
7. Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Track and report:
○ rejection rates
○ rework
○ customer complaints
○ audit observations
Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Requirements
Education
Diploma / BE / BTech (Mechanical / Industrial / Production preferred)
Experience
8–12 years in quality, testing, or compliance roles
Manufacturing environment exposure is mandatory
Prior experience handling audits and factory compliance preferred

Root-cause thinking (not firefighting)
Comfortable enforcing standards under pressure
